Expressions of Invitation

Invitation is a request or attempt to other people to join and come at a specific event. Invitation is used to invite someone to go to place or to do something. There are two kinds of expressions of invitation. They are formal situation and informal situation.
  
A.     Formal Situation

Inviting
Accepting an invitation
Declining an invitation
Would you like to...
 I'd very much like you to....
We should be
Pleased/ delighted if you could...
Would you care to...
You will ... won't you?
That's very kind of you.
We'd very much like to....
What a delightful idea.
With the greatest pleasure.
Thank you very much for inviting me.
I'm very sorry, I don't think I can.
I'd like to, but...
I 'm afraid I've already promised....
Thank you for asking me, but...
Unfortunately, I can't

B.     Informal Situation
 
Inviting

That would be very nice.

All right (then)
Sorry, I can't.
 I'd love to, but....

Example:
Dialogue

Robi invites Sandra to go to a movie.

Robi    : Hi, Sandra. There will be a great film tonight. It's about Nasreddin. Would you like to go to the movie with me?
Sandra : Of course. I'd love to. When will you pick me up?
Robi    : I'll pick you up at 7.30. Be ready.
Sandra : OK.
